Using the No To Knives Website

- Thank you for visiting the NTK website (our website), which is owned and operated by the Board of the Trustees of the Armouries of The Royal Armouries, Armouries Drive, Leeds, Yorkshire LS10 1LT an exempt charity (we or us).
- No To Knives (NTK) is nationwide campaign we organise to raise awareness of and to help combat knife crime in the UK. Your interest in and support of the NTK campaign is greatly appreciated.
The Rules
Creating a Tag |
- We hope you enjoy creating a tag using our website. Before you do, we need you to agree to the following rules:
- Get permission
- If you are under 16, you must ask permission of a parent or guardian before sending your tag and contact details to us.
- Your tag designs will be vetted by us
- All tag designs will be vetted by us before being uploaded to the pledge wall on the Website. We will send you an e-mail confirming whether or not a design is acceptable for uploading to the pledge wall. Our decision is final and is not negotiable.
- Be creative, but be nice!
- Your tag design will not be accepted if, in our opinion, it contains anything which:
- Is rude, obscene, offensive, hateful or sexually explicit.
- Promotes violence or any illegal activity.
- Is threatening, abusive, invades another's privacy, or causes annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.
- Promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
- Promotes gang culture.
- Promotes or assists any unlawful act.
- Is likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person.
- Is not original to you.
- Be original
- Your tag design must be all your own work and you must not copy the work of others. We reserve the right not to accept a design if, in our opinion, it copies the work of anyone else.

- Give everyone a chance to pledge their support; please don't create more than one tag. Make sure you are happy with your design before you upload it.]
- We will use your tag
- If we approve your tag design it will be uploaded to the pledge wall and you grant us the right to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties your work for any purpose [in relation to the NTK campaign].
- Check it out!
- If we approve your design we will send you a unique identification code by email. This code will enable you to view your tag in the pledge wall, together with other tag designs that immediately surround it.
- We may remove your tag
- We have the right to remove at any time any material or posting you make on our website without giving you reasons or notice.
- What we do with your details
- By sending your tag and contact details to us, you consent to us (or our partners) processing the information for the following purposes:
- To contact you about your tag;
- To provide you with a unique identification code to view your tag; and
- To provide you with information about the No To Knives campaign, similar campaigns, related surveys, related research purposes or related information.
